Damon Redfern was born in the UK, but his parents relocated to Chile when he was only 4 years old, and then to Peru when he was 8. He was educated in Spanish and tutored by an archeologist who let him play with ancient Incan artifacts. He also acted in school plays and developed an interest for the arts. Damon's childhood in South America nurtured his growing interest in other cultures.
